This week on Olotita’s Youtube channel, we begin the Ashtanga Yoga Standing Sequence! Today we explore the first two standing posture in the Ashtanga Yoga practice, Padangusthasana & Pada Hastasana or Thumb to Big Toe Posture & Hand to Foot Posture.

This week you start to add new postures onto your foundation, the Sun Salutations and modified finishing sequence. Each day you practice the Ashtanga sequence, you start with 3-5 Sun Salutation A, 3 Sun Salutation B and then you begin your standing and later seated sequence postures. And you always finish each practice with finishing sequence. So, after today you can add the first two postures in the standing sequence to your daily yoga practice. Once we add several more integral standing postures, we will publish another practice along guided yoga class for you to enjoy! Keep up the good work, stay consistent and enjoy your practice!
