Olotita’s Youtube channel, posted Video #2 in our brand new FREE Yoga Asana Series video tutorial.

Yoga Asanan Introduction to the Ashtanga Yoga Finishing Postures: Bridge, forward fold, Lotus, Bound Lotus & Yoga Mudra, and a short rest.

Last week launched the entire Yoga Asana Series with Video #1, setting the foundation for your entire practice.  Emphatically, we examined breathing, bandhas, drishti, body mechanics, holding your spine in space and introduced Sun Salutation A. Furthermore these are a series of nine flowing movements put together in a sequence.  In Ashtanga Yoga, we are taught to start each yoga practice with 3-5 Sun Salutation A utilizing deep breathing with sound, engagement of internal muscles or bandhas and focused gaze points or dristhi.  To check out Video #1 tap Here or scroll to the bottom of todays post.

Similarly, today we explore the very first few Ashtanga Yoga finishing sequence postures.  During the yoga tutorial, I demonstrate and teach these yoga postures in a modified form, easy for beginners to access.  Hence, start working with these postures each day after you finish your 3-5 Sun Salutation A sequences.  Once we get further along in the Yoga Asana Series, I will introduce you to the entire finishing sequence, with demonstrations of the full expressions of each posture.

Next week will be your very first fully guided practice.  Surely, we will incorporate what we’ve learning from Videos #1 and #2 to put together a flowing guided practice for you to press play and move and breathe as I talk you through the sequence.

Because I post videos every other week to build upon the topics from the week before, I encourage you to start with Video #1 and then add today’s video as a part of your sequence to practice after your Sun Saluations (from video #1).

Undoubtedly, all the video tutorials and classes on youtube are 100% free.  It is a way for me to share my passion for this practice, help others learn tools for self-regulation, health and happiness, and it is a true joy for me.

All of Olotita’s tutorial videos are here to help you go a little deeper in your understanding of the body mechanics of the movements, and your own body in space.  Therefore, we recommend you watch the video all the way through the first time you watch it so you can fully absorb the lecture portion of the video.

If you are brand new to yoga, you are at the right place!  And if you have an established practice, we will be sure to share a few tips that help you take your practice to the next level.

Likewise, if you want to join me in person I offer classes in Orlando weekly and will be leading a Yoga Retreat through Turkey October 1-15, 2022.  I also offer virtual sessions in Yoga, Meditation, Breath-work, Nutrition, Life Coaching and Mentorship.  Check out www.olotita.com for more details.

I am a level II authorized Ashtanga Yoga teacher and I am passionate about sharing these teachings with all who wish to learn.

I hope you find this video series helpful to you in creating or maintaining your at home yoga practice!
