Rachel Gaibor discovered yoga at age 14 at a local gym and, after trying out several methods, found herself attending class six days a week. In 2008, she signed up for teacher training, beginning her journey educating and inspiring others about the practice and benefits of yoga. She found the Yoga Shala in 2010, where she learned the Ashtanga Vinyasa Style under the practiced guidance of Krista Shirley. Energized by a passion for this style, Rachel began studying in the Ashtanga Apprenticeship Program in 2017. She has traveled and assisted Krista in retreats held in Thailand, Greece and Charleston, N.C. She has led her own yoga retreats in Peru and Ecuador. Rachel continues to work closely with Krista in developing daily practice and teaching methods.
